Bradley Cooper admits what many Ryan Gosling fans already knew: he’s not the “Sexiest Man Alive.”

During an appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” over the weekend, the “Hangover” star addressed the controversy that erupted after People magazine gave him the coveted title over fan favorite Ryan Gosling.

Turns out, Cooper agrees that Gosling was more deserving of the honor.

“There was such a backlash to when they announced it and Ryan Gosling, who I love and I just did a movie with him - he’s the greatest ,” said Cooper, who claimed a friend sent him a link to a website comparing paparazzi photographs of the two actors who were both in Paris last week.

Cooper admits he’s still coming to terms with all the attention, joking that the “Sexiest” title is “the worst.”

“I’m finally at an age - I’m 36 years old - where I really don’t care about anything like that anymore, which is a wonderful thing and then this happened and then I started to realize just how not sexy I am,” he said.

In fact, the new title has made Cooper rethink his day-to-day activities.

“I have a lot of moments where [I’m] walking out and I’ll open up the door [and think to myself], ‘I could do that a lot sexier,’ ” he laughed.

Movie hunk Ryan Gosling hopes 2012 will be the year he finally separates himself from fellow screen hunk Ryan Reynolds.

The Drive star says as much as he is flattered to be regularly mistaken for Green Lantern actor Reynolds, he feels bad for fans who find their hero doesn’t quite live up to expectations.

“I have people come up to me wanting to get a picture,” explains Ryan.

“I line up with them and they’re like, ‘Oh! I thought you’d be a lot more muscular.’ It’s about then that I realise their mistake and have to point out that I’m not Ryan Reynolds.”

Hey, McDonald’s: Ryan Gosling wants to talk to you.

The Golden Globe-nominated actor, Zooey Deschanel and eight other celebrities have sent a letter to McDonald’s CEO Jim Skinner, asking the fast food chain to buy eggs from cage-free suppliers.

“After visiting McDonaldsCruelty.com and learning from my friends at Mercy For Animals that McDonald’s egg suppliers routinely torture egg-laying hens and their baby chicks, I have to tell you: ‘I’m Hatin’ It,’ ” the letter states.

The missive is a response to a video shot by animal rights group Mercy for Animals (MFA) that showed cruelty against chickens by employees at five Sparboe Farms facilities. The farm’s president and owner, Beth Sparboe Schnell, told ABC News the actions seen in the MFA’s video footage were “totally unacceptable,” and pledged to investigate the company’s practices.

McDonald’s ended its relationship with Sparboe, which formerly supplied a significant portion of the fast food chain’s eggs, after the video was released, telling the AP, “The behavior on tape is disturbing and completely unacceptable. McDonald’s wants to assure our customers that we demand humane treatment of animals by our suppliers.”

But the new celebrity-backed letter from MFA asks McDonald’s to go a step further and stop working with suppliers who use battery cages.

“On behalf of compassionate people everywhere, we implore you to help end the needless suffering of these animals by adopting strict and meaningful animal welfare policies worldwide, including the commitment to prohibit the purchase of eggs produced by hens who spend their miserable lives crammed into tiny wire cages,” the letter says.

Emily Deschanel, Wendie Malick, Alicia Silverstone, Maria Menounos, Kristin Bauer, Steve-O, Ed Begley Jr. and Bryan Adams also signed the letter. An accompanying petition has been signed by more than 32,000 people.
